Our General Cleaning Tips
Use an Entrance mat at all entrances as they will reduce the rate at which your carpet will soil. The larger the mat the better to allow removing street dirt from shoes. They must be cleaned regularly.

Vacuum clean regularly to remove dirt that can damage the fibres of your carpet. Frequent vacuuming prolongs the life of your carpet by preventing a buildup of gritty particles that can cut carpet fibers.

Red wine stains should be covered with cooking salt immediately.

Keep your windows open every day for a few minutes to get fresh air into your rooms. That will help to slow down dust mites’ reinhabitating.

Change your bed clothes every week, washing it in 60°C which will kill the dust mites in it.

Dust with wet clothes weekly.
​
Add baking soda to the bag in your vacuum to fight odours.
Weekly vacuum cleaning is very much advised to prolong the life of your carpet, but won’t be enough to remove the dust mites and soil from the base of your carpet.

It is recommended to have your carpets professionally cleaned every 6-8 months.

Even if no new stains will appear on your carpet, dust and
dust mites will settle which is normal, but it is advised to get them frequently removed.

If you decide to opt for a home hot water extraction/steam cleaning system, it is important not to get the carpet too wet. The detergents should be chemically active enough and safe enough so as not to require a great amount of water. Wetting your carpet too much can cause it to shrink, to brown, lose its adhesiveness and all sorts of problems.

What do I have to do to prepare my house for your technicians’ arrival?
Please tidy up your rooms prior to our visit. Other movable items such as coffee tables, side tables, sofas, chairs, dining tables etc will be handled by our staff, cleaned underneath and put back in their original location. Please help them to save time by making the rooms available to start cleaning straight on arrival. Please place any toys, books or other small items off the carpet. Please remove the bed clothes if you ordered our mattress cleaning services.

Can we walk on the carpet straight away or does it need to be left drying?
The carpets are dry enough to walk on straight away. However please keep in mind that you still have to wear clean shoes until it dries out completely.

Yes, we are fully insured for your peace of mind.
Will all stains be removed?
Every effort will be taken to remove stains; however no guarantee can be given for complete stain removal. Some stains such as food colourings, cosmetic preparations etc may cause permanent colour change to the fibres.
All spills and stains should be treated as quickly as possible to help prevent permanent staining. The longer the stain remains on the carpet or fabric, the more difficult it will be to remove.
The result of a stain removal process can be influenced by the reaction of the various carpet fibres and does not solely depend on your Technician or the chemicals they use.
As a result the same stain might not be possible to remove from one carpet, while it is easily coming out from another.
